Bumping up my favorites

This is my favorite piece so far so I'm bumping it up in the queue to look at until I get this glass totem done. Whew, working on round glass is quite challenging. The GE Silicone II for windows and doors works great - - the pieces don't slide around at all - - but it is difficult to get out of the tube. My daughter gave me a neat little tool that fits on the bottom of the tube of silicone and rolls up as you go, so that helps enormously. Here are two views of my guitar, my most favorite of all things to mosaic. The second view is painted on the back. (click to enlarge)

Love the mosaic on this guitar! I'm enjoying your work too! I'll be following what happens with the glass tower too. Great to hear from you as a fellow mosaic artist on my blog!

It's a sickness, you know. I started as a child stashing fabric, all the colors and patterns took my breath. Then I found stained glass (I still have a private stash of Blenko glass that hubby doesn't know about!). I'm even hooked on scrapbook papers, though I don't scrapbook! Pieces of china, tile, anything tactile and colorful...I'm a goner! I am enjoying looking at your work and am totally in love with your stair risers. Wow! Thanks for the peek into your world!

Thank you, Helen. I am working on the glass tower today. It's round and I don't want grout creep so it's a challenge. Mosaic1, I too have scrapbook paper and I don't scrapbook! I have bits of fabric, wallpaper samples, vintage lace; I'm like a strange bird you would see on Animal Planet who decorates her nest with colorful found objects. Thank you for your comments!
