Glass Totem body grouted, another view

It turned out beautiful!!!! I love how the light shines through it. What do you do regarding sharp edges? grind your pieces? just curious because of the roundness of it.... Thanks for sharing your one of a kind creation.

Thank you both. Lori R., the roundness of it was quite a challenge. I used many pieces that were curved and fit the curves of the piece. For instance, this lady gave me a lot of pieces that were antiques broken by the movers. All the pink were pieces of a ''thumbprint'' bowl. The clear pieces were parts of a chandelier. All were curved. I tumble all my glass tesserae for about 45 minutes. It is still shiny but the sharp edges are smoothed. I do not like any sharp edges on my work. I have grouted and sealed the other pieces and will probably post a photo of the finished totem on Tuesday.

The vase looks gorgeous. I'm enjoying checking back on the progress of this piece. There is something about light coming through colorful glass that is so spell binding.
